Can I continue using my skincare products?

Absolutely! Just be sure to clean your face before coming into your appointment as some products can block the light or cause mild irritation to the skin. Then, continue with your skincare routine as usual at home. However, we think you’ll find red light therapy to be much more effective than any topical products on the market when it comes to anti-aging benefits

Is RLT similar to tanning?

No—unlike salon tanning beds, red light therapy does not use harmful ultraviolet (UV) light that can damage the skin and cause cells to mutate. Red and near-infrared light also do not produce heat as a tanning bed does.

Is RLT similar to laser treatments?

No, red light therapy does not have the potential to cause the same damage that laser therapy does. Laser treatments use a concentrated beam of light to remove tissue. Red light therapy penetrates into the cells, stimulating the mitochondria to produce ATP.

How long do the results last?

Each body and each condition is different so results will vary, but it is best to keep up with maintenance treatments after you achieve the results you are looking for.

What is the difference between red light and blue light therapy?

Blue light has a shorter wavelength than red light on the electromagnetic spectrum. Blue light therapy is delivered in the 400-nanometer range. There is an inverse relationship between wavelength and energy, so this means it contains more energy than red light. This form of light therapy transfers blue light to the skin using specialized LED lamps. These are the main conditions that blue light therapy is used to treat:
Acne
Sun damage (prevents skin cancer from forming)
Depression and seasonal affective disorder (SAD)
